Do I need money to use it?+
No — Stoopify is pure barter. You trade item for item, and cash never changes hands. Listing and trading are free.
What if I don't have anything to trade?+
You probably do — a spare mug, a book you're done with, a plant cutting. Put out anything; listing it isn't giving it away, and you'll see what neighbors offer back.
How do meetups work?+
Once you and a neighbor agree on a swap, you chat in-app, pick a public spot nearby, and trade in person. Then you each rate how it went to build your standing.
Is my location tracked?+
No. We check your location once at signup to confirm you actually live on the block, and never store your coordinates or track you afterward.
How do I know a neighbor is legit?+
Standing is earned, not gamed — it's the real count of fair trades someone's completed, and reliable neighbors carry a ✓ seal. No five-star scores to pad.
Where is Stoopify available?+
It opens block by block — live now in Park Slope, South Slope, and Gowanus, with more Brooklyn blocks waking up as neighbors join the waitlist.
When can I download it?+
It's in private beta now, with the App Store release coming soon. Tap “Get the app” and you'll be first in line when it lands.
